Parents: Joseph Scoggins & Sarah Elizabeth (Loftin) Scoggins

Married 07 August 1907 to Elsie Ewing and had four daughters
Lola, Teddy, Mamie and Arta

Orphaned by the death of both parents he was taken in by his
Great aunt & uncle Martha and George Groves of Bradleyville

Received Teaching certificate to teach in the schools of Taney
County Missouri

Enlisted in the U.S. Army on 30 December 1898 and served
under Gen. Arthur Macarthur until honorably discharged 29
December 1901

Owned a farm and ran a general store in Bradleyville Missouri
and moved to Forsyth Missouri in August 1925, Moved to Los
Angeles CA. in 1944
